Welcome to Get-Energy. These Terms and Conditions outline the rules for our business utility brokerage services. By using our services, you accept these terms in full, so please review them carefully before proceeding.
1. About Us
As an independent energy and utility broker, Get-Energy assists companies in comparing and finalizing utility contracts from a select group of providers. We are not an energy supplier. Instead, we function purely as a third-party intermediary to connect your business with your preferred provider.
2. Scope of Our Services
Get-Energy offers unbiased utility comparison and switching services tailored to the data your business provides.
Our suggestions are based exclusively on the current rates offered by our selected network of providers.
While we do not evaluate every single supplier or tariff in the entire market, our services are completely free for our customers
Instead, we receive a commission directly from the supplier once your contract is finalized.
3. Your Responsibilities
By using our services, you confirm that:
All information provided to us—including your company details, energy consumption data, and current contract terms—must be accurate and complete.
You have the legal authority to sign and enter into contracts on behalf of your company.
You are responsible for reviewing the provider's terms and conditions before finalizing any contract.
You remain responsible for meeting all obligations to your current provider, including paying any applicable early termination fees.
4. Supplier Contracts and Binding Commitments
When you accept a provider's contract through Get-Energy—whether verbally, digitally, or in writing—you enter into a legally binding agreement directly with that supplier.
Commercial energy contracts do not include a legal cooling-off period. Once you commit to an agreement, you are legally bound by its terms and conditions for the entire duration of the contract.
Contract cancellation or withdrawal is strictly prohibited unless explicitly allowed by your provider's specific terms, which is highly uncommon.
Get-Energy assumes no liability or financial responsibility if you attempt to cancel an agreed-upon contract, or if the provider enforces penalties, fees, or early termination charges.
5. Fees and Commissions
Our services are completely free of charge to you, and Get-Energy will never invoice your business directly..
Instead, we are typically compensated by providers through a commission payment once your contract is finalized via our platform.
Commission rates may fluctuate depending on the provider and contract type, but these variances have no impact on the price you pay to the supplier.
6. Liability
We exercise reasonable care and skill in providing our brokerage services; however, we are not responsible for:
The actual performance, billing accuracy, or service delivery of any provider.
Any financial savings, advantages, or benefits projected or promised by the providers.
Any negative outcomes or consequences resulting from inaccurate or incomplete information that your business provides.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
7. Data Protection and Privacy
We process your corporate and personal data in strict compliance with all relevant data protection legislation, including the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
By utilizing our services, you authorize us to share your information with our selected providers to request quotes and facilitate your contract arrangements.
For more detailed information, please consult our Privacy Policy.
8. Termination of Service
You are free to discontinue using our services at any time prior to finalizing a contract with a provider.
Following the finalization of a provider contract, any subsequent cancellation or termination will be governed exclusively by that supplier's specific terms and conditions.
We retain the right to suspend or withdraw our services immediately if you violate these Terms or supply false or misleading information.
9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by and interpreted according to the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under this agreement will fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
